What is Remote DSL service or RDSL service?Many people have been asking me this question, so I decided to post an article about it.
Basically it works like this: A person located, for example, in Bangladesh, wants to have a dynamic American IP address; for this purpose he needs to find provider in the United States. After this person or company is found they agree on the price and then use any remote access software like Teamviewer, Radmin or another program to establish connection between their computers. This is mainly used by professional advertisement posters, because websites requires people to have U.S. IP address (different IP for each posting). After ad is posted it is very easy to change IP address – you just need to press a button (depends on the company; for example www.dslrentals.com has a very simple IP changer). Websites also require a phone number verification for each account, but it is easy to find a company that will sell you hundreds of American numbers.
Usually posters work for local service companies that don’t have time to post on their own, or they simply don’t know how to make good posts. Posters find clients in different states and use Dialup connection to post where RDSL service is not available. For example it is not so easy to find DSL providers in Arkansas, but if you need to post there you just have to find a company that will rent you computer with Dialup connection, such as www.dslrentals.com. Then you simply dial a phone number of the city where you need to post. This process takes much longer than average RDSL posting, because of the slow connection speed (56 kbps maximum). During the time you post one ad using dialup you can make up to 4 postings using DSL! But, again, DSL won’t give you such flexibility with the IP address (you will always have IP from the state where you are renting your DSL connection).
Be aware of the date and time set on the remote computer – it’s important to have this updated, because some of your posts won’t appear if you have wrong date. Sometimes remote computer is banned from certain websites (when you posted too many ads in the short period of time). Then you have to talk about this issue with DSL service provider – he needs to assign different numbers to the computer’s hardware (such as MAC number).
