Become an Article Marketing Expert – Master Article Marketing in 500 Words

Hi and Thanks for checking out my blog again. Where there is always something new to learn.

Who else wants to become an expert article marketer? Do you truly want to write articles that convert like crazy? Do you crave endless streams of free traffic that continues LONG after you’ve put your keyboard down? In this article we are going to take a quick and insightful look at how to become an article marketing master in short order, and I’ll share some of the secrets that I use in my own business to create copious amounts of killer content that converts like crazy. Curious to know more? Great….continue reading as we take a closer look below!

Tip #1: Write titles that titillate

The truth? Using long verbose titles is one of my personal secrets to getting open rates that I truly believe are transcendently high in any niche I publish in. Remember, your article title is tantamount to the headline in an ad… or the piece of prose (and promise) that’s either going to grab your reader firmly by the nose and pull them in… or not. (note: Pulling your reader by the nose is no longer allowed due to the recent FTC rule changes, but you get the point)

Tip #2: Content Consistency

If you’ve got 3 or 4 “tip” in your article, make your resource box another “tip”. If you’ve written an article that highlights 4 ways to do something, make the resource box a 5th way. Why? Because people click through on consistency. If you’re article flows properly, the natural extension of the article will lead back to your site, service or offer..and the simple truth is that you WON’T be successful unless you make that transition smooth. (you can get an infinite amount of people to READ your article… but if they don’t click through, you’ll never quit your day job)

Tip #3: Dumb it Down

This is actually a lesson I’ve had to learn over and over and over again! Why? Because I like to have fun with my articles, and I try to be clever with my content. But the truth is, people don’t often “get” clever. And if they don’t’ get the joke per se… (or don’t realize you’re trying to be funny) it’s like a stake in the heart of your article. Keeping your article simple, interesting, informative and NOT overly entertaining is a good way to keep people engaged with your primary points… and not distracted by your sense of humor, or unusual good looks, like what often happens with mine.

Tip #4: Keep Your Paragraphs Short

Again, I can’t always tell a novice article marketer by long, sprawling paragraphs. People lose intersect….and eye studies show that small “chunks” of text are far superior from a readability standpoint as well. My rule is one primary point per paragraph…which is why I like to use numbers, or bullets, lists… as it keeps me focused on one specific statement per paragraph. I also like to use formatting to keep my articles “organized”, like bolds and actual numbered lists and so forth. Again, the more you break up the content using text in creative and aesthetically pleasing ways, the more readable your articles become. (and the higher your conversions become to boot!)

I can tell you enjoy writing…you’re a good writer and it shines through. I learned something about having long titles for articles. I had somewhere in the back of my mind thought that titles had to border on short. So thanks for the information.
